Shattersphere On Hiatus
After 5 years since it's inception, Shattersphere is officially on hiatus. Frontman Kyle Morrison speaks on the subject:
This band has been my child since I was 19 years old. I remember the old basement days with Jason and now look back on how far we took it. One year we were in my parent's basement, the next year we were in front of thousands. I am proud of everyone who has ever been a part of this project. It has been an unforgettable journey with some of the greatest people I have had the pleasure to meet. I would like to thank Jason Musshorn, Mike Hogan, Chris Viarengo, Stevie Caruso, Shawn Rosenthal, Justin Rogers, Dave Reid, Kyle Wald, and Paul Jacovino for playing alongside me at some point for the past five years.
I have accomplished much in music, and do plan on returning to the field in the next few years. For now I'd like to pursue something different and take a break from the music business. It feels like I haven't slept in 5 years, and now it's time for a break. I moved to Atlanta, GA just recently and I'm still getting settled in. I'd like to start a new power/symphonic metal project in the Atlanta area sometime
Shawn moved to the LA area and is currently playing with our longtime friends in Sune. As far as I know Mike, Jason, and Justin are all available and actively seeking new music projects. Honestly, I couldn't think of better musicians to recommend to any band! These guys are at the top of their game, and together we had taken this band to an incredible level. Not many unsigned bands played arenas, toured, won songwriting competitions, attend NAMM every year, got Grammy invitations, you get the picture. Anyone who is lucky enough to get a former Shattersphere member to join up in their project is definitely on the path for success. I can't say enough good things about these guys, they are truly some of the best musicians out there today.
This has been an incredible journey for all of us, and we'd like to thank the fans for every bit of support you have showed over the years. We would have been nothing without you guys. A band is only as good as the people that support it, we thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts.
So will Shattersphere ever play together again? Hey.......you never know! ;)
All the best,
Kyle Morrison Lovely
